The Golf Bug is Back

Just knowing the Masters is starting this week has me all jazzed up about improving my golf game this year.  I was reading Golf Digest while I was on the elliptical today and I read an article about how Sam Snead looked at his game and decided he was taking to many chances - specifically on par 5’s.  He stopped going for greens in 2 if they were heavily guarded with trees, bunkers, OB, etc.

He dramatically improved and won the Varden.

Not being a very good golfer to this point - I have always had the mentality that you don’t ever remember that time you laid-up.  But I also know that my score hasn’t really improved much over the years.

So this year I’m really going to focus on getting better and practicing more.

I have a great golf mat set-up in my backyard. I’ve been using the Tallboy golf mat with my Birdieballs in the backyard trying to focus on swing plane and squaring the club at impact.  And I’m jonesing to get out on the course.

I’ll keep you posted on my progress.

Golf Training Aid Update

The time has come: no longer do you have an excuse not to get out there and improve your golf game.

With Birdie Balls and the Country Club Elite T-Turf system, there’s no need to lug your clubs to the golf course or driving range.  There’s no need to leave half of your clubs in your bag or hit off of awkward rubber tees. And best of all, there is no need to sacrifice authenticity for convenience.
