The ideal way for anyone to improve their game is to practice as often as they need to in order to gain consistency with their swing. The easiest way to practice this is right in the backyard.
“I have it set up at the back of my driveway looking over part of my back yard. By the way my 7 year old grand son uses the mat more than I do, we let him hit real golf balls for now but that won’t last much longer.” -Joe Palatino
This testimonial is referring to a realistic golf hitting mat that can be used to work on your golf game along with limited flight balls right outside. With this outdoor golf practice mat, working on your game or even your child’s game is much easier and does not require a trip to the driving range.

Just knowing the Masters is starting this week has me all jazzed up about improving my golf game this year. I was reading Golf Digest while I was on the elliptical today and I read an article about how Sam Snead looked at his game and decided he was taking to many chances - specifically on par 5’s. He stopped going for greens in 2 if they were heavily guarded with trees, bunkers, OB, etc.
He dramatically improved and won the Varden.
Not being a very good golfer to this point - I have always had the mentality that you don’t ever remember that time you laid-up. But I also know that my score hasn’t really improved much over the years.
So this year I’m really going to focus on getting better and practicing more.
I have a great golf mat set-up in my backyard. I’ve been using the Tallboy golf mat with my Birdieballs in the backyard trying to focus on swing plane and squaring the club at impact. And I’m jonesing to get out on the course.
I’ll keep you posted on my progress.
